Risk Disclosure
Warning: Crypto-assets and foreign exchange trading can result in the loss of some or all of your invested capital. You should only trade with funds you can afford to lose.
This Risk Disclosure forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read carefully before you use any Treu Vermostein website, platform, calculator or automated feature ("Services"). It does not disclose every risk associated with trading or investing, and it is not a substitute for independent professional advice.
1. Volatility of crypto-assets
Bitcoin, Ethereum and other crypto-assets have historically experienced very large and rapid price movements. Prices can fall substantially within short periods, and in some cases may fall to zero. Market sentiment, regulatory developments, technological events and liquidity conditions can all affect valuations without warning.
2. Foreign exchange and leverage risk
Foreign exchange trading, particularly when leveraged, carries a high level of risk. Small adverse movements in exchange rates can produce losses that exceed your initial deposit where leverage is used. Margin requirements may change, and positions may be closed automatically if your account falls below required levels.
3. Automated trading and algorithms
Automated and AI-assisted functions process data and execute strategies according to predefined parameters. They cannot predict market outcomes, may behave unexpectedly during periods of extreme volatility, system outages, data errors or connectivity failures, and do not guarantee profit. Past performance of any strategy is not indicative of future results.
4. Risk controls have limits
Features described as risk management or risk controls, such as position limits, stop mechanisms or exposure settings, are designed to reduce certain risks. They do not eliminate risk. Orders may not execute at the price requested, stop levels may be bypassed during gaps in the market, and controls may fail or be unavailable.
5. Liquidity, execution and counterparty risk
Some assets may become difficult to sell or may only be sellable at a significant discount. Trading venues, custodians, payment providers and other counterparties may fail, freeze withdrawals or be subject to insolvency or security incidents. Digital assets held in custody may be lost if access credentials are compromised.
6. Regulatory and tax risk
The legal and regulatory treatment of crypto-assets and leveraged products varies between jurisdictions and may change. Certain products or services may not be available or suitable in your country of residence. You are responsible for understanding and meeting any tax obligations that arise from your activities.
7. Hypothetical figures and calculators
Calculators and examples on our Services use simplified assumptions and hypothetical inputs. They do not account for fees, spreads, slippage, taxes, inflation, financing costs or market disruption. Figures shown are illustrations only and are not forecasts, promises or guarantees of income.
8. Cybersecurity and technology risk
Online services are exposed to hacking, phishing, malware, software defects and other threats. Although we use security measures, no system is entirely secure. You should protect your devices and credentials, enable available security features and be cautious about unsolicited messages claiming to represent us.
9. Your responsibilities
You should only invest amounts that you can afford to lose, diversify your holdings, understand the products you use, and consider your financial situation, objectives, experience and risk tolerance. Where appropriate, seek independent advice from a qualified financial, legal or tax adviser before making any decision.
10. No advice or offer
Information provided through the Services is general in nature and does not constitute personal financial advice, a recommendation, an offer to buy or sell any instrument, or a solicitation. We do not take into account your individual circumstances when providing general content.
11. Contact
